Last week, from June 27 to July 6, the Aachen Soers once again became the stage for CHIO Aachen 2025, the World Equestrian Festival. Over 300 top athletes from 30 nations competed across five disciplines, accompanied by spectacular shows, emotional moments, and 350,000 enthusiastic fans.
This year, Westphalian horses particularly stood out in the dressage arena. In the CDI4* Grand Prix Special, Vayron NRW by Vitalis/Gloster (breeder: Heinrich Sterthoff), ridden by Ingrid Kimke, claimed victory with a score of 74.128%.
In the CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle, two Westphalian-bred horses also shone: Sir Hubert NRW by Sir Heinrich/Florestan I (breeder: Hubert Brinkmann) thrilled with a score of 77.89% under the saddle of Borja Carrascosa. Valencia AS by Vitalis/Hotline (breeder: Albert Schulze Topphoff), ridden by Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier, secured third place with 77.120%.
Congratulations to the breeders, riders, and everyone involved on these outstanding achievements!
