On the road to breeding success
Founded in 1904 as an umbrella organisation for Westphalian breeding families, breeding facilities and stud farms, the association has developed from small beginnings into a modern breeding association that today embodies the Westphalian idea of horse breeding with over 8,500 members.
With a continuous focus on diversity and the endeavour to constantly improve the health and quality of horse breeding, we have continued to develop: Whether riding horse, cold blood, riding pony, Haflinger, Shetland, Welsh or more exotic breeds such as Dülmener or Camargues. Today we register horses and ponies of various breeds in Germany and far beyond the country's borders.
