Münster: 25 young talents from the 2025 vinatege were up for sale at today's online auction. In addition to the 20 dressage-orientated riding horse foals, five pony foals completed the lot. At an average price of around 9,000 euros, 17 riding horse foals changed hands. The most sought-after foal was the Fanegro son Fargo with head number 1, who was knocked down for 21,500 euros.
In the 92nd online auction of the Westphalian Studbook, 20 dressage-orientated riding horse foals were up for sale. The first foal with the head number 1 advanced to the top price of the evening. The strong-moving son of Fanegro from the Beckmann stallion station delighted customers from near and far. Eleven bidders battled it out for the chestnut colt, who was bred by Hermann Zumvenne, Senden, out of Fagira by Fiorano. Customers from Germany had the longest breath and won the final bid at 21,500 euros.
Head number 4 Ballerina Meyer (breeder and exhibitor: Bernhard Ilting-Reuke, Borken) was also very popular. The young filly codescents from a famous damline. Her dam, St.Pr.St. Senorita Meyer by Sir Donnerhall, is none other than the direct dam of former Bundeschampion Fynch Hatton. She also produced four other licensed stallions. The virtual hammer fell this evening for her daughter by Bonds at 15,500 euros in favour of customers from a renowned training stable in Baden-Württemberg.
Head number 13 Dynamic King changed hands for the hammer price of 15,000 euro. The son of Dynamic Dream/De Niro (breeder and exhibitor: Klaus Große-Lembeck, Telgte) descents from a damline that has often aroused great desire on the Westphalian auction circuit. His half-brother Zaunkönig by Zack advanced to the top price at the Westphalian Spring Auction in 2021 with a hammer price of 205,000 euros. A colt by Zauberlehrling was knocked down for 62,000 euros at the 2021 Westphalian Week acution. Dynamic King will be at home in Italy in the future.
Almost 85 per cent of the 25 youngsters on offer were sold this evening. The 17 riding horse foals sold were worth an average of 8,868 euros to the international clientele. Four foals broke the 10,000 euro mark in the hammer price. Customers invested an average of around 4,000 euros in the four riding pony foals sold. All in all, the Westphalian Studbook was able to generate a total turnover of 166,500 euros this evening. Five of the foals sold will grow up outside of Germany.
