Westphalian horses successful in Hamburg: Every year the cult tournament in Klein Flottbeck attracts riders and equestrian sports enthusiasts, who can experience equestrian sport in a class of its own. At the 93rd edition of the German Show Jumping and Dressage Derby, the Westphalian horses were able to impress in both the arena and the course.

In the 64th German Dressage Derby, a CDI4* Grand Prix with horse changes, Let It Be NRW took the lead. The Westphalian mare born in 2010 Lissaro/Florestan I, bred by Herbert Laumann, won under the saddle of her rider Katharina Haas. The winning pony also came from Westphalia in the final of the German Pony Dressage Derby. Dancing Sun HF v. FS Don’t Worry/Dressman I (breeder: Hubert Fockenberg) and Mats Buck convinced the judges across the board and secured first place.

At the Longines Grand Prix of Hamburg, einer CSI5* jumping evaluation with jump-off clearing 1,60m in hight, eleven year old Westfalia mare Lancelotta v. Lancer III/Orlando (Z.: Gestüt Zhashkov) placed beneath the saddle Steve Guerdat. The pair remained impeccable in the round and jump-off and secured second place with a time of 44.33 seconds.
