Offspring of the successful stallion arouse great desire

Münster: In cooperation with the Zhashkiv Stud in the Ukraine, the Westphalian Studbook once again organised an online auction.  40 unridden youngsters were up for sale in the youngster auction. Almost all of them have the successful sire Cornet Obolensky in their pedigree. At an average price of around 11,000 euros, 100 per cent of the horses on offer changed hands. The daughter of Comme il faut NRW/Godolphin Come on Greta aroused the greatest desire. At the hammer price of 66,000 euros, she changed hands to regular Ukrainian customers. 

The Westphalian Studbook organised the Cornet Obolensky Online Auction for the sixth time. In cooperation with the Zhashkiv Stud from the Ukraine, the grey stallion's home, 40 unridden youngsters were up for sale. Bred and exhibited by the Zhashkiv Equestrian Sports School, the youngsters are connected by the star sire Cornet Obolensky, who gained merits in show jumping under the saddle of Marco Kutscher.

This evening, all of the youngsters offered by the Zhashkiv Stud found new owners. The international clientele invested an average of 10,756 euros in their young show jumping hopefuls. Ten of the jumping talents sold will remain in the Ukraine, 17 were sold to Germany, seven youngsters alone were secured by a loyal regular customer from Westphalia. The remaining 13 young horses were sold to other countries around the world. With this auction, the Westphalian Studbook realised a total turnover of 430,250 euros.

Head number 3 Come on Greta aroused particular desire. The daughter of the successful Cornet Obolensky son Comme il faut NRW descents from the world-famous Leonore line. Her dam, the Verb.Pr.St. Gordenia by Godolphin, also produced the Cornet Obolensky daughter Cornet's Celine, who is successful up to advanced level. Clinton, who was so successful for Belgium under the saddle of Dirk Demeersmann, is also a descendant of this line. Come on Greta went to regular customers from the Ukraine for the top price of 66,000 euros. 

The most popular young stallion in the auction lot was Caillou with the head number 10. The dark bay is a direct son of Cornet Obolensky. His dam Wiena by World Way has in combination with Cornet Obolensky already produced the stallion Corvet, who is successful for Russia at CSI5* level. At the hammer price of 39,500 euros, Caillou will also remain at home in the Ukraine.
