After the announcement of the licensing results and the awarding ceremony to the riding ponies on Sunday afternoon, 24 riding pony stallions and one Welsh Mountain Pony were offered for sale in the OnLive auction.

The auction kicked off with the licensed premium stallion candidate of the Welsh Mountain Ponies. The son of Islyn Hafgan/Springbourne Capricorne (breeder: Gerrit and Leny van Beek, Netherlands; exhibitor: Giuliana Brockhaus, Heek) had already impressed the licensing commission the day before and was awarded the premium candidate status. In today's auction, he changed hands for 3,000 euros.

The full brother of the successful De Bellini AT made his first major appearance in the summer of 2023 at the Westphalia Week in Münster-Handorf. He changed hands for the first time at the foal auction there. This afternoon, customers in Westphalia once again recognised the young stallion's talent. At a hammer price of 40,000 euros, he will be based at the North Rhine-Westphalian State Stud in Warendorf in future.

Horse number 53 has a promising pedigree. Both his sire, Mister Universum NRW, and his dam, the performance mare dressage Haya WE by Halifax, were successful in dressage competitions up to advanced level. Both celebrated these successes under the saddle of Mareike Mimberg-Hess, Bielefeld, who was also the breeder and exhibitor of this young stallion, which was awarded the title of premium stallion by the licensing commission. The grey stallion also made a promising appearance at the auction. He was worth 37,000 euros to customers on site in the arena in Münster-Handorf.

In addition to the dressage-oriented riding pony stallions, several jumping-oriented riding pony stallions were also offered for sale at this auction. Head number 64 was particularly impressive. The son of Very Star Kerveyer/Cornet Obolensky (breeder and exhibitor: ZG Schulze Vels, Kamen) descents from a warmblood line that has already produced numerous successful show jumpers in competitions over 1.60 m. The young sire was crowned 1st reserve champion of the show jumping riding ponies.  He was sold to Irish show jumper Cian O'Connor for 27,000 euros. Head number 51 also impressed the licensing committee with an outstanding free jumping performance this morning.
