Champion stallion V-Power sets price top with first crop: The Westphalian Horse Stud Book opened the 2024 season of online foal auctions with a lot of dressage riding horse and riding pony foals.
20 riding horse foals with the best dressage pedigrees were for sale in this online auction. A daughter from V-Power's first crop took the lead. The fact that ZG Strunk, Bochum, has its Verb.Pr.St. feeling v. Fürstenball was bred to the million-dollar stallion by a happy coincidence. At the stallion show of the Westphalian Horse Stud Book last year, they won a stud fee voucher for the Westphalian Champion Stallion of the Year 2022. The stars are good for Moana's successful future. It's not just her father who is highly decorated at a young age. Her mother was successful in dressage tests up to M level and took part in the final of the Federal Championships. After 26 bids from eight bidders, the brown one changed hands at a hammer price of 17,500 euros.
Two other young talents broke the 10,000 euro mark in this online auction. On the one hand, this was a daughter of the Warendorf country stud sire Sir Heinrich. Mother of head number 6 Sunshine Reggae (breeder: Carsten Rohleder, Dortmund; exhibitor: Maja Clara Rohleder, Dortmund) is the Westf.H.Pr.St. Elea R v. Escolar, who herself was victorious in young horse tests. In 2018 she won the test for the Westphalian coat of arms as part of the “Tournament of Winners” in Münster. This evening her daughter was worth 13,000 euros to customers from Germany. The first auction candidate, Verpoorten, also impressed the customers. The strong-moving chestnut stallion was bred by Martin Westermann from Verb.Pr.St. Vicky v. Valverde pulled. The son of Viva Gold from Gestüt Westfalenhof became the property of Katrin Sudhölter.
Five riding pony foals completed the lot in this online auction. The top price among the pony foals was the Westphalian and Federal Champion D-Gold AT NRW. Da Vinci (breeder and exhibitor: Wilhelm Leuermann, Saerbeck) comes from the dam line of the junior European team champion Daily Pleasure WE. Mother St.Pr.St. Grazia II LW is the full sister of the reserve champion of the Westphalian Elite Show last year. The typical colt changed hands for a price of 6,750 euros.
21 foals were sold with a total turnover of 137,500 euros. The four pony foals sold cost an average of 5,250 euros. The 17 riding horse foals sold were worth an average of 6,853 euros to their new owners. Six young talents will start their careers outside of Germany.
