Münster: 56 licensed and 20 non licensed stallions were offered for sale at the Westphalian Stallion sale. With a total sales rate of 85 percent, an excellent result was achieved. The highlight of the year at the Westphalian studbook is the stallion licensing. This traditionally ends with the stallion sale for licensed and non-licensed stallions. Around 80 stallions were up for sale in this afternoon's OnLive auction. Fifty-six of these received a positive licensing decision the day before and were therefore offered for sale with the title ‘licensed’.

The auction kicked off with the previously celebrated champion stallion from the dressage lot. The son of So Perfect (breeder: Catarinus van der Laan, Netherlands; exhibitor: BG Heinrich Gießelmann and Catarinus van Laan, Barver) with head number 49 shone in all presentations during the Westphalian licensing days. His dam, Dynamic Diva by Dream Boy, is none other than the full sister of Dynamic Dream, who once as well enchanted the audience at the Westphalian Main Licensing. At the top price of 500,000 euros, he changed hands to French ownership and will increase the stallion lot at the Klosterhof Medingen. The champion stallion among the jumping stallions will be his neighbour in the stable. As the most expensive show jumper, a customer on site secured the son of Chacco-Blue/Ogano Sitte with head number 77 (breeder: Aleksandr Onyshenko, Düsseldorf; exhibitor: Gestüt Sprehe GmbH, Löningen) for 250,000 euros. The chestnut stallion, who descents from the famous Sitte line, will also be at home at Klosterhof Medingen in the future.

The reserve champions were also highly in demand among the expert clientele. The first reserve champion of the dressage stallions was the son of Dynamic Dream/Benicio (breeder: Simon Kohlenbrenner, Lienen; exhibitor: Pferd 24 GmbH, Lienen). The typey dark bay changed hands at a hammer price of €300,000. One of the the second reserve champions of the dressage-oriented stallions was a son of the former champion stallion Extra Gold, who presented his first vintage at the Westphalian stallion licensing this year. With head number 22, the bay, bred by ZG Labohm, Halsenbach, out of Charmeur's Cherry M by Charmeur, thrilled the audience in Münster-Handorf. The powerful stallion, exhibited by Bernd Hollmann, Gronau, will travel to the Helgstrand stallion station in Denmark for a hammer price of 415,000 euros. The licensing commission had announced another second reserve champion in the morning: With head number 31, the son of Follow Him's Schönweide/De Kooning (breeder: Hedda Ottmann-Droege, Düsseldorf; exhibitor: Gut Dalmer GbR, Düsseldorf) also was celebrated with the red and white sash. The chestnut stallion is none other than the half-brother of the Warendorf state stud stallion Selectric, who is currently successful in Grand Prix sport. He also changed hands to Helgstrand Dressage for a hammer price of 350,000 euros. Overall, the 30 dressage-oriented stallions sold and licensed achieved an average price of 113,000 euros.
