Stud performance evaluations

We encourage and challenge

In order to guarantee and further promote the quality of our breeding and the high performance of our stallions, every stud must pass a stud performance evaluation (HLP).

This tests the studs's disposition in order to ensure that their excellent qualities are passed on after licensing.

The stud performance evaluations for riding horses are coordinated centrally by the German Equestrian Federation (FN) in Warendorf. Registration can be made online via the FN website at www.hengstleistungspruefung.de.

A similar procedure is used for all pony breeds. The FN website www.pferd-leistungspruefung.de provides a centralised list of all requirements and dates with registration information. The only difference to the riding horses is that registration for the stud performance evaluation is not done centrally via an online platform, but directly at the respective stud performance evaluation centres. In addition to the stud performance evaluations, all mare performance evaluations for ponies can also be found there.
