Year after year: highlights in the breeding calendar
Every year, the approvals mark the highlights of the breeding calendar and are special highlights for all those who live and love Westphalian horse breeding.
The stallions presented on the breed-specific licensing days are the result of the passion of breeders, owners, training centres and all those who trust in and remain loyal to Westphalian horse breeding. Initially selected in a pre-selection process, we admire the best stallions of the new crop during the approvals - in the company of like-minded people.
In the beginning, there is always hope - a hope that usually arises from experience, expert opinions and evaluations. In Handorf, the respective licensing commissions decide once a year whether these hopes are fulfilled or not and determine which stallions receive the licensing title, which are honoured with a premium and who emerges as the celebrated licensing winner.
