Your foal has arrived. What now?
As soon as your foal is born, you need to fill in and send us a foaling report. Only when we have received this can further steps towards registration be taken.
In addition to the conventional "paper foaling report", the foal's birth can also be reported online before the registration date.
The following data is required for the online foal registration:
- Life number of the foal
- Membership number of the breeder
- E-mail address of the breeder
In the next step, the breeder can report the following foaling data:
- Date of birth
- sex
- Colour
- Foal name (if already known)
In addition, further details can be entered in a free text field, such as registration for a mare show or an appointment request for a farm appointment.
What happens next?
After submitting the data, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. When the foal is actually registered, the studbook staff will already have the foaling data registered online, so only a follow-up check will be carried out.
Please note:
The online foaling report does not yet replace the paper foaling report. For the time being, the paper form remains an important document for foal registration and must still be presented at the registration appointment.
