Main licensing for Haflinger and thoroughbred Haflinger stallions

The main licensing for Haflinger and thoroughbred stallions will take place from 15 - 16 February 2025 in Münster-Handorf.

In addition, stallions that have already been licensed can be presented for approval on 15 February.

Registration for the licensing
Registrations will be accepted until 20 January 2025 by sending in the registration form and a copy of the ownership certificate showing the pedigree, colour and breeder. Please also indicate the name of the demonstrator/training stable so that this can be taken into account when allocating boxes during the event. The registration form can be found at the bottom of this page under Downloads.

The registration fee (€ 55 per stallion) can be enclosed with the registration in cash or paid by requesting an invoice.

Vaccination requirements
All stallions participating in the licensing must be vaccinated against influenza in accordance with the current FN vaccination schedule (for detailed information, see the download section on the right under Vaccination requirements for stallions). Vaccination against herpes is not required.

Golden highlights in Handorf

Shortly before the start of spring, Handorf turns yellow and gold. The Haflinger and thoroughbred Haflinger stallions make their grand entrance at their licensing.

The North German Licensing for Haflinger and thoroughbred Haflinger stallions is no longer held in autumn, but at the beginning of the year. In recent years, the combination of licensing, recognition and stallion show has proved to be a complete success. Each year, the event offers Haflinger enthusiasts from Germany and abroad an interesting programme that includes pavement samples as well as presentations of the young stallions and stallions for recognition (without performance test) in free running and free jumping. A breeders' evening and a stallion show also invite breeders, owners and friends of the Haflinger to come together.
