This year's regional competition for young breeders in Westphalia took place last weekend. A total of 14 participants competed in the respective age groups in the sub-disciplines of conformation assessment, free jumping assessment, theory and pre-sampling. The winners across all disciplines were Charlotte Burbank (AK II), Judith Brinkmann (AK I) and Emma Eilert (AK III).
During the state competition, Claudia Meckmann-Dorsel from Münster was officially retired from her position as young breeders' representative in the Münster district. For more than 30 years, she had been the contact person for the young breeders and provided them with advice and support, drawing on many experiences from her own active time as a young breeder. Claudia Meckmann-Dorsel hands over her office to Jana-Louisa Leve.
