Playlist of the Westphalian auction foals

Following the successful premiere of the ‘Next Generation’ foal auction at the CSIO St. Gallen, there will be a second auction this year. New in 2025 is that foals from Switzerland will also be represented in the lot of 15 foals. The Swiss Sport Horse Association has taken the initiative and is now actively involved in the auction. The initiators, the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch and the Pferdezuchtverband Baden-Württemberg, are still on board.

The foals on offer are once again of exquisite quality. Top sire Emerald van het Ruytershof, who sired the top prizes foal in 2024, is represented with three offspring. The great Chacco-Blue also sends one offspiring, as will the former world champion with Jos Lansink Cumano. All of the other sires, such as Comme il faut NRW, Va Bene, Conrad de Hus, Zirocco Blue, Uricas van de Kattevennen, Ermitage Kalone and Diaron, are without exception top-class sires, all of whom are or were highly successful in competitions themselves. When selecting the foals for 2025, special attention was again paid to the quality of the dam lines. Several foal dams are also successful in sport up to 1.50 m and 1.60 m level. Furthermore, the auction foals are closely related through their dams to such great horses as Deister, three-time individual European champion with Paul Schockemöhle, Miss F.A.N, Nations Cup winner with Eddy Macken, Casquo Blue, successful horse of Harry Charles or Chacco's Son I, CSIO5* winner with Maurice Tebbel. An exotic foal among the jumping foals is the colourful son of Va Bene out of Royal Princess, also successful up to advanced (S) level with Andrina Suter.

The foals will be presented in the Gründenmoos Stadium on Friday afternoon, May 30, directly after the Landrover Discovery Nations' Cup, as well as on Saturday afternoon. The auction will take place on Saturday, May 31, at around 3.30 pm.
