Münster: A total of 29 dressage and jumping foals were for sale in the Westphalian online auction this evening. 22 of the foals on offer changed hands for an average of 5,841 euros. A young jumping talent was at the top of the price structure in this auction. The son of Heartbreaker/Toulon was worth 9,250 euros to his new owners.
The jumping foals were well received by the customers of the Westphalian Horse Stud Book this evening. The price structure was led by a colt with the head number 2. Heartbeat, who was bred by Bernd Kröger, Dinklage, from an embryo transfer mating, was worth 9,250 euros to his new owners. The son of Heartbreaker/Toulon comes from the direct family of the successful Contino with Johannes Ehning.
The most popular filly of the evening was also the best paid dressage foal. Vilomena wore the head number 7. The daughter of the vice world champion of young dressage horses Vitalos was bred by Ramona Wojtenko, Nordhorn, from Verb.Pr.St. Filomena v. Follow Him's Schönweide. After 17 bids from nine bidders, the dark chestnut mare changed hands for 8,000 euros. Another foal with a focus on dressage also received a knockdown price of 8,000 euros. The son of the successful young country stud stallion Diamanten Glanz moved to Belgian ownership. Jessica Meier Overesch, Harsewinkel, had the dark brown stallion from Ver.Pr.St. Emsperle M.O. v. Proudly bred, which was successful in dressage tests up to class M** in tournament sport.
At 16,500 euros, head number 1 was unable to achieve the breeder's target price this evening. For this reason, the auction's price peak did not change hands today. “After a highly successful foal auction last week, we have of course been brought back down to earth today. Nevertheless, we remain true to our line and would like to continue to offer many breeders access to the various platforms of our marketing,” says auction manager Thomas Münch. Overall, the Westphalian Horse Stud Book was able to generate a total turnover of 128,500 euros with the 22 foals sold. On average, the foals sold were worth 5,841 euros to their new owners. Nine young talents were awarded to customers outside of Germany.
